Undiscovered Messiah

… my instincts do not allow me to sign off in the conventional hollow and hypocritical manner. Thus I say goodbye as absentmindedly as unaffectedly as the capitalist, who despite their affected good manners and charm only cherish in their hearts the dream of material greed. I do not claim to be free of such dreams (indeed I do have a desire to make money) but at least I state plainly my convictions. I stand out amongst the corrupt and misled rabble as a rose stands out amongst the thorns and weeds.

But do not be deceived, for I too have far to go yet. Horizons, as yet mysterious, undefined and far have to be explored and conquered. It is only a brave soul such as I who can desire to soar to such heights and have such real and penetrating vision. Peaks, as yet undiscovered (let alone conquered) in the history of mankind, will be surmounted by me, heralding a new age for mankind, when the capitalist, the religious freak and the social worker will be exposed for what they are. They will be seen as mere animals in comparison to the new man which my conquests will herald.

Not being total free from the chains society has put on me, I ask you, as a mere acquaintance, to drink from the cup of victory, and for a moment soar to heights unimaginable. But beware, you are a mere mortal. You may never survive the ecstasy reserved for those who treat danger as they would pleasure.

"you many never survive the ecstasy reserved for those who treat a danger as they would pleasure."

I think I will even never experience that ecstasy ( Forget about surviving it).

Excellent post Msingh Ji!

I'm surprised I've not been accused of haumai and ahankar - people are too nice. I quite expected to be slated for such lack of nimarta.

But I should point out that this was written a long time ago, probably an attempt to exercise literary cravings.

ss thanks for spotting the spelling error.

Waheguru
ps. the messiah is yet to become 'pargat'.

These are not as plain convictions as you state. This post leaves its readers, especially me quenching for more - the indepth story, the struggle, the conquest. I'd like to attempt to enjoy that "ecstasy reserved for those who treat danger as they would pleasure."

Did you write that msingh ji? I really love it. I draw so many Sikhi parallels from it. Cup of Victory - I think of Amrit. Ecstasy reserved for those - I think of pure state of belonging to Khalsa and many others.

yes rsingh ji, I'm afraid I have to take resposibility, as I said this was written a long time ago, probably an attempt to exercise literary cravings.
